Membership Openings 2012
The SLYC currently has Openings for 5 new members.
Each applicant for membership must have two sets of
sponsors (flag or honorary SLYC members).
Additionally, applicants must
attend the 'New Member Orientation' meeting at the yacht
club, scheduled for February 29, at 6PM,
with at least one of their sponsors in attendance.
Membership Applications will be handed out to prospective
members during the orientation meeting and must be returned by
mail no later than March 13, 2012, in order to be considered for
membership. Both Sponsorship forms
must also returned by mail by the same date.
Applicants whose application and/or sponsorship forms are returned
after March 13, 2012, will not be considered.
Interviews will be scheduled in April
with selections made by the Board of Directors in
May.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MAY NOT NECESSARILY INTERVIEW ALL APPLICANTS FOR
CONSIDERATION AS A NEW MEMBER.
The selection of applicants for interviews is the responsibility of the membership committee. All Applicants will be notified by mail or email of action taken on their application. Decisions of the membership committee with regards to who is selected for interview is final and not appealable to the Board of Directors.
There will be no waiting list for applicants who were
interviewed but not selected.
Applicants not selected must re-apply when member opening are announced in
future years.
